I enjoy a little teasing and the relief of not taking every sentence seriously. I’m happiest when an evening feels clean, simple, and personal. The less unnecessary choreography, the better; I like things to feel unforced. I’m drawn to restraint, good materials, and details that reveal care without asking for attention. I feel most comfortable when the energy is warm, the conversation is mutual, and nobody is rushing. I like the kind of evening that leaves no grand conclusion, only the sense that something worth keeping has begun. The atmosphere should support the people in it. That sort of ease is hard to fake.
