Sometimes the nicest evenings begin simply and become memorable almost by accident. I enjoy a room with life in it and the easy spark that appears when people feel included. I appreciate consistency and the quiet satisfaction of doing something properly. I tend to notice the best corner of a room before I notice where everyone else has sat down. The best experiences have a little planning behind them and very little pressure attached. A plan is useful, but I’m not attached to it once a better idea appears. A relaxed tone makes room for charm, honesty, and the parts of a person that do not arrive on cue.
