What makes an evening work for me? Curiosity, a little humour, and enough space for the conversation to wander. I enjoy a little style in the surroundings, especially when it sits beside something relaxed. I like the first detail to be intentional and the rest to stay open. I enjoy a little mischief in conversation, especially when nobody is trying to look clever. I’m purposeful in my own life, but I do not think every evening needs to become an achievement. The best atmosphere lets a pause feel natural and a change of subject feel welcome.
