I should probably admit that I can turn choosing a restaurant into a small research project, then change my mind. Ease matters to me; the best company lets a conversation move without pushing it. I notice chemistry in small things—tone, timing, and the way two people settle beside each other. I enjoy a considered look and a relaxed manner, especially when neither one does all the talking. Romance, to me, is attention and timing rather than a performance. I appreciate confidence that knows how to soften and curiosity that does not feel like an interrogation. Plans are lovely when they communicate care, not when they leave no room for surprise. Ultimately, I’m looking for ease, interest, and the feeling that the evening was time well spent. The atmosphere should support the people in it. Good timing usually matters more than decoration.
