I can be composed in a busy room and completely spontaneous five minutes later. I know what suits me, and I’m comfortable saying so without turning it into a speech. Energy matters to me, but so does recovery and a relaxed finish. I’m interested in how people think and what sits behind their usual answers. I’m comfortable with an active plan, a last-minute change, or a quiet finish. The best atmosphere lets a pause feel natural and a change of subject feel welcome. I’m usually calm, although I have opinions about badly timed interruptions. I like leaving a little room for the person I meet to add something unexpected.
