A change of scenery is lovely, but the person beside you is what gives it meaning. I like places with texture. perfection is less interesting than a little character. I like quick humour and the kind of laughter that arrives before anyone has planned it. I notice tone, proximity, and the small shift when a conversation becomes more personal. I’m drawn to plans with a point of view, but curiosity can always send us elsewhere. A little style is welcome. unnecessary fuss is not. For me, comfort comes from good manners, a little laughter, and an evening that can take care of itself.
