I take playlists slightly more seriously than the situation probably requires, which is one of my harmless habits. I do not need a room to notice me; a good exchange is usually enough. I’m comfortable with my own company, so sharing an evening feels like a choice. For me, comfort comes from good manners, a little laughter, and an evening that can take care of itself. I enjoy people who can move from a serious subject to a ridiculous one without losing the thread. I like a little structure, mostly so there is something to abandon for a better idea. I can make a simple decision sound like a discussion, mostly because I enjoy the discussion. I like the kind of evening that leaves no grand conclusion, only the sense that something worth keeping has begun.
