There is something about a slow evening and an unforced conversation that brings out the best in me. I pay attention to presentation without making it a performance; comfort and character matter more than perfection. I’m more interested in depth than volume, whether we are talking over dinner or walking somewhere quiet. Creative energy keeps life interesting, whether it appears in a gallery, a playlist, or a conversation. I enjoy a little teasing and the relief of not taking every sentence seriously. For me, comfort comes from good manners, a little laughter, and an evening that can take care of itself. A little planning helps me relax; after that, I prefer the evening to move naturally.
