A change of scenery is lovely, but the person beside you is what gives it meaning. Energy matters to me, but so does recovery and a relaxed finish. I prefer quiet confidence to a polished performance. I’m good at slowing a moment down without making it feel heavy. I like momentum, but I know when an evening is asking for a slower pace.
