I can be composed in a busy room and completely spontaneous five minutes later. I like directness with warmth; honesty is easier to enjoy that way. I value closeness that still leaves both people room to breathe. I can make a simple decision sound like a discussion, mostly because I enjoy the discussion. A quieter setting suits me: a considered meal, a walk, and time to notice what is beneath the obvious. A calm beginning helps me settle in, after which the conversation can take its time.
