Some of the best conversations begin quietly, without either person trying too hard to make an impression. I like a little movement in life, followed by good food and time to sit down properly. I like momentum, but I know when an evening is asking for a slower pace. I still get excited by a new place, a funny idea, or a plan that changes at the right moment. I notice when someone needs a gentler pace, a better question, or a little more time. A relaxed tone makes room for charm, honesty, and the parts of a person that do not arrive on cue.
