Give me a good table, an interesting person, and enough time for the evening to develop without instructions. I’m relaxed by nature and not especially interested in making a simple evening complicated. I enjoy a considered look and a relaxed manner, especially when neither one does all the talking. I like good company, sensible plans, and the freedom to laugh when details change. Ease matters to me; the best company lets a conversation move without pushing it.
