Give me a good table, an interesting person, and enough time for the evening to develop without instructions. I notice chemistry in small things—tone, timing, and the way two people settle beside each other. I notice light, texture, music, and the small care behind a choice. I listen carefully, think before I speak, and still leave room for a good impulse. A little planning creates the right frame; the atmosphere still needs room to breathe. I appreciate confidence that knows how to soften and curiosity that does not feel like an interrogation. Ultimately, I’m looking for ease, interest, and the feeling that the evening was time well spent.
