I should probably admit that I can turn choosing a restaurant into a small research project, then change my mind. I like having something to work towards, while remembering that pleasure belongs in a good life too. I’m quieter at first, but I’m rarely absent from a conversation. A quick mind is attractive to me when it comes with warmth rather than the need to win. I appreciate clear plans and people who still know when to stop checking the time. I enjoy a clean detail, a considered colour, and the ease that keeps everything from looking forced. A relaxed tone makes room for charm, honesty, and the parts of a person that do not arrive on cue. I like the kind of evening that leaves no grand conclusion, only the sense that something worth keeping has begun. I notice when a place feels personally chosen.
