I like the feeling of a room settling around two people who are no longer trying to impress each other. I like the moment an ordinary evening develops an entirely different idea. Romance, to me, is attention and timing rather than a performance. I’m quite good at looking composed while quietly deciding what we should order. I’m not sure a paragraph can say much more; a good conversation usually does the job better. Ease matters to me; the best company lets a conversation move without pushing it. I appreciate confidence that knows how to soften and curiosity that does not feel like an interrogation. Plans are lovely when they communicate care, not when they leave no room for surprise. I like people who arrive as themselves.
