I’m fairly direct, with a softer side, and I remember the feeling of an evening more than its perfect details. I like directness with warmth; honesty is easier to enjoy that way. I’m happiest when an evening feels clean, simple, and personal. I like questions that open a door rather than close a subject. The less unnecessary choreography, the better; I like things to feel unforced. I appreciate confidence that knows how to soften and curiosity that does not feel like an interrogation. I can make a simple decision sound like a discussion, mostly because I enjoy the discussion. I like the kind of evening that leaves no grand conclusion, only the sense that something worth keeping has begun. A little humour helps.
