I know what I like: good manners, a sense of humour, and an evening that does not need to be rushed. I prefer meaningful conversation, a comfortable setting, and no competition for attention. I like getting ready with a sense of occasion, but never to the point where it feels like work. A little planning helps me relax; after that, I prefer the evening to move naturally. I’m interested in how people think and what sits behind their usual answers. I feel most comfortable when the energy is warm, the conversation is mutual, and nobody is rushing. I like leaving a little room for the person I meet to add something unexpected. I’m usually calm, although I have opinions about badly timed interruptions. I like leaving some room around the plan. The atmosphere should support the people in it.
