I should probably admit that I can turn choosing a restaurant into a small research project, then change my mind. I enjoy an active rhythm, then a good meal and enough time to talk properly. Romance, to me, is attention and timing rather than a performance. I’m happiest when there is a plan for the beginning and freedom to ignore it later. Plans are lovely when they communicate care, not when they leave no room for surprise. I feel most comfortable when the energy is warm, the conversation is mutual, and nobody is rushing. I’m not above changing my mind when someone brings a genuinely better idea. The best encounters gather detail, warmth, and meaning almost without asking to be noticed.
